Jigee Curls wants to be your partner in bringing out the individuality and charm of your curls.

Alexis Ryoko, owner of Jigee Curls, was born to an African-American father and a Japanese mother. Growing up in Japan, she struggled with an environment where curly hair was not well-understood or accepted, and has been straightening her hair for 13 years.

However, when she was 18, she met friends who were proud of their curls, and for the first time, she was able to accept herself as she was with her natural hair. From then on, she spent over 10 years researching her own curly hair, trying out different methods of care and styling. She felt a strong need for hair care that suited Japan's climate and lifestyle, and launched Jigee Curls in 2023.
